Looking after George

Created by Annie 7 years ago
I regularly fed George on weekends when Alan was away at Nigel's. (George is the cat not one of the carers!) On one visit a couple of years ago I obviously thought Alan was away another day and merrily let myself in to the bungalow only to find Alan watching some TV programme with the sound blaring out, George on his lap, completely unaware that I was there! I was concerned that if I spoke or touched him on the shoulder the shock would not be good for his heart so I quietly back stepped myself out of the bungalow and locked the door! Poor George was most confused!! I will remember Alan with much affection and admiration for the way he fought for his independence to be at home. He had a wicked sense of humour that I understand was with him until the end. Rest in peace Alan xx
